‘‘support opening"
Q We are considering adding new windows and making an
open plan kitchen/diner and seating area on the ground
floor, we would like to knock down the original wall and
support the opening with a beam. I estimate the beam needs to
be about 6 feet long by 6 inches wide to support the load, the
window openings are 4 feet wide. What is the best method to
do this?V Casey
